Meet Dr. Samuel Baron

Dr. Baron, originally from Butler, PA, completed his undergraduate studies at Pennsylvania State University and earned his professional degree from New England College of Optometry. During his final year, he led a pilot vision program in Haiti, providing eye exams and glasses to 3,500 patients. After a residency in visual therapy at the Optometric Center of New York, he served as a clinical instructor and held leadership roles, including Assistant Chief of the Contact Lens Clinic at SUNY.

Since establishing his practice in Golden in 1973, Dr. Baron has focused on contact lenses, children’s vision, and care for deaf patients. A Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, he has lectured internationally, developed optometric instruments, and published several professional articles. In 2013, Dr. Baron achieved Diplomate status from the American Board of Optometry, a distinction held by only 5% of optometrists. He enjoys Colorado’s outdoor activities, including skiing, climbing, and hiking.
